Music connects us through time and gives us a sense of belonging, it can be used to motivate and sooth us. At Dinnington High School we recognise the power and resonance that music has throughout our lives and aim to develop a love of music for our students.
Our Music teachers recognise the effect that music can have on students and use their expertise to deliver an exciting and energising curriculum. However our Music Department are not restricted to the classroom, staff provide a plethora of opportunities for our students to develop their musical skills. We have a number of musical performance evenings throughout the year and very often our student experience the opportunity to practice and show off their musical skills within the community.
Studying music gives our students a great mix of social, technical and listening skills, which will all help them to acquire skills that are required for employability.
